Frontier is committed to helping qualified low-income individuals pay for internet services. The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a non-transferable (from one person to another) government assistance program that provides a discount on the cost of broadband internet access service. This program takes over for the Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) program which ended on 12/30/21. Existing EBB customers will continue to receive their monthly benefits under that plan until 3/1/22. You will be notified if you are required to take any action to remain on the ACP after that date. At that time your monthly benefit will change from a maximum of $50 per month to a maximum of $30 per month for non-Tribal customers. The benefit for customers living on Tribal Lands will remain up to $75. (Customers who originally qualified for EBB under the substantial loss of income qualification due to COVID will need to re-qualify in order to continue under the ACP since that is not a qualification for ACP.)
You may obtain ACP supported broadband services from any participating provider and may transfer your ACP benefit to another provider at any time.
ACP is limited to one discount per household and only eligible customers may enroll. You may be enrolled in both the ACP program and the Lifeline program.
To receive the ACP discount each month, you must certify that you or someone in your household currently receives benefits from one of these programs:
Medicaid
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) formerly Food Stamps
Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
Federal Public Housing Assistance (Section 8)
VA Veterans Pension (Supplemental Income for Wartime Veterans)
VA Survivors Pension
Bureau of Indian Affairs General Assistance
Tribally Administered Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (Tribal TANF)
Head Start (Income-Based)
Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR)
National School Lunch Program (NSLP)
School Breakfast Program (SBP)
Federal Pell Grant
Women, Infants and Children Program
You may also qualify if your annual income is at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Please download the ACP application (también disponible en español) which is to be returned to the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) along with proof of eligibility or apply online at ACPBenefit.org. After USAC receives your completed application and the required proof of eligibility, they will notify you of your eligibility status.
Once you have been approved for ACP, call Frontier at 1.844.342.7501 to sign up for our low-income product offering (Frontier Essentials Internet).
If there is someone else at the address who is receiving the ACP discount and you wish to be considered a separate economic unit, the ACP Application and proof of eligibility must be submitted along with the Household Worksheet (también disponible en español).
Customers who subscribe to Seasonal, Stay Connected, or Vacation Service are not eligible for the ACP discount. Existing ACP customers must remove ACP in order to enroll in Seasonal, Stay Connected, or Vacation Service, and reapply for ACP upon restoring service.
